FAQ

FIRST DAY OF CAMP REMINDERS

Please show up 5-15 minutes early for check-in.

We ask that you have your child use the restroom before you sign them in.

Wear your Breakaway t-shirt everyday.

In order to get your child off campus each day after camp, you will be required to present your parent wristband to a security team member at any exit. You will receive your parent wrist band each day when you check in your child.

“Closed-Toed” shoes are required for ALL participants.

Please apply plenty of sunscreen and send a dry towel each day with your child.

There is no need to pack a snack as we will provide one for each camper.

If your child has food allergies we strongly recommend that you provide an alternative snack for them. The parent should give the snack to the child’s leader at the time of check-in.

If your child carries an Epi-Pen please have them give it directly to the leader at check-in. The leader will carry it with them throughout the day and call First Aid to administer if necessary.

  • You are registering your child(ren) for the year they will be in the Fall.

  • If you have already registered and want to add another camp to your child’s registration, simply log back in to the registration site and complete an additional registration.

  • Select the wrong session? Wrong grade? Wrong child? Please email us at breakaway@baysideonline.com and we will make that change for you.

  • Registration is NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you have questions about a refund, please email us at breakaway@baysideonline.com.

  • We do not offer discounts for multiple siblings or for children of volunteers.

We try to keep our overall costs down for all children. We also do not charge our Adult and Senior High volunteers any t-shirt or supply fees.

We know many adults are giving up valuable work time to serve at Breakaway. We cannot run these amazing camps without you.

  • Our camp snack menu will be posted at the registration table at camp and emailed out to families prior to the start of camp. If your child has food allergies, please provide an alternative snack for him/her.

  • Breakaway Summer Camps is for 5 years old (must be 5 by September 1) through kids entering 6th grade in Fall.

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of camp. Children must be signed in and cannot be dropped off at the curb.

  • Pick up and drop off will be at your child’s small group tent.

You will need to first check your child in and receive a wristband. Children may be in closing rally when you arrive.  Please wait for your child to get back to his/her tent so you may sign them out.

Children must be signed in AND out.

  • Every parent will receive a parent pick up wristband at check in with a unique security code. You can have a picture of your child’s unique security code or present the wristband to check out a camper.

  • Absolutely!  We offer special needs buddies for campers 4 years old through 6th grade at our Breakaway Classic. Just designate your child’s extra needs on the registration form, fill out our special needs form under the special needs tab, and our Special Needs Leader will contact you and match your child with a buddy.

  • We have Bayside Kids available for volunteers with kids 2 months - 3 years old. The cost is Free until May 1st. After which the price is $35 per child, and they get a little camp made just for them. Bayside Kids is only for volunteers serving at Breakaway. You will need to register them for the session you are serving at.

  • This is a “Leader in Training” volunteer spot – Our Jr High team comes alongside the 7th and 8th graders to disciple and pour into each of the students. It’s a growing year since kids are transitioning from campers to volunteers. We have separate devos for our 7th and 8th grader, they are given challenges in which they can win gift card if recognized by another leader. We do a Jr High Rec day, where we feed all the Jr Higher’s lunch and they get to play on our recreation field. This is not just a volunteer position, we try our best to start our Jr High volunteers off on the best possible foot so that serving can be a success for them.
