Get ready for an exciting summer of fun, skill-building, teamwork, and confidence!

Bayside Kids Sports Camps are designed for kids in 1st–5th Grade (Entering First Grade by September 1, 2026)  to learn from great coaches, make new friends, stay active, and grow in a positive, encouraging environment.

Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or already loves the game, these camps are built to help every kid feel included, challenged, and celebrated.

Please choose one sport to register your child for the entire week.

Meet The Coaches

Jake Blackwell

Coach Jake Blackwell is the current Head Basketball Coach at Adventure Christian High School. A former player at Simpson University, Coach Blackwell brings experience coaching at multiple levels of the game. He is passionate about developing student-athletes through leadership, discipline, faith, and teamwork while building a Christ-centered basketball culture.

Tiffany Lathrop

Coach Tiffany Lathrop is the current Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach at Adventure Christian High School. A strong Christian woman and dedicated mother of three daughters, Coach Lathrop brings a relational, encouraging approach that helps her connect deeply with her players. With more than nine years of experience in club and high school volleyball, she is passionate about developing young women both athletically and spiritually while building a competitive, Christ-centered culture.

Deane Surface

Coach Deane Surface is the current Head Varsity Football Coach at Adventure Christian High School. A former collegiate football player at California State University, Sacramento, Coach Surface has also coached at the collegiate level and brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the program. He is passionate about helping young athletes grow in faith, character, and athletic excellence while leading with integrity and purpose.

Kaylyn Gray

Coach Kaylyn Gray serves as the Cheer Coordinator and Stunt Coach at Adventure Christian School. She brings extensive cheer knowledge and experience while helping athletes grow into confident women of God. Her heart for mentorship, leadership, and faith-based coaching continues to make a lasting impact on the ACS Cheer program.

FAQ

  • Sports Camp is open to children entering 1st–5th grade by September 1, 2026. Volleyball is available for campers entering 3rd–5th grade during Week 3.

  • Sports Camp takes place over two separate weeks:


    Week 1: July 20–24, 2026
    Week 2: July 27–31, 2026

    Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM each day.

  • Sports Camp takes place at Bayside Granite Bay.

  • Early Bird pricing is $149 per camper, per week.

    $159 after June 1st

  • Yes! Campers are welcome to register for multiple weeks if space is available.

  • No. Campers will choose one sport for the entire week they attend.

  • Absolutely! Siblings may participate in different sports based on their interests and grade eligibility.

  • Not at all! Sports Camp is designed for both beginners and experienced athletes. Coaches focus on skill development, confidence, teamwork, and having fun.

  • Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing, athletic shoes, and attire appropriate for outdoor activity and movement.

  • Please send your camper with:

    • A labeled water bottle

    • Athletic shoes

    • Comfortable athletic clothing

    • Any sport-specific equipment requested prior to camp (labeled with their name)

  • Yes. Campers will have scheduled water and rest breaks throughout the morning.

  • Parents will have the opportunity to provide important medical and allergy information during registration so our team can best support your child.

  • Sports Camp is powered by Adventure Christian School and led by experienced coaches who are passionate about helping kids grow in their skills, confidence, character, and faith. You can read more about each coach above.

    Our coaches believe sports are about much more than learning skills and winning games. Through encouragement, teamwork, and positive coaching, they strive to help every camper grow in confidence, character, leadership, and faith while having an incredible week of fun.

  • Registered families will receive emails leading up to camp with important details, including check-in procedures, what to bring, and other helpful information.

  • Yes. Campers are supervised by trained coaches, staff, and volunteers throughout the duration of camp.

  • Our staff follows established safety and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of all campers.

  • Sports Camp combines skill development, positive coaching, teamwork, and faith-based values in a fun and encouraging environment. Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or already loves the game, our goal is for every camper to feel included, challenged, encouraged, and celebrated.
